Introduction to the Burns family
The Burns family were based in Wednesbury during the 19th and early 20th century and may still have descendents there for all I know. They were mainly gas tube fitters initally.
The link to my own family is somewhat tenuous in that there are two marriages into my Lavender family, at my great-grandfathers generation. As neither marriage produced any offspring, it was not necessary for me to follow this family, but it just happened.
The following families are linked to the Burns' and have at least a small tree to view.
| Name of Family | Link to Adams family | Background |
| Lavender | Annie Burns married John W. Lavender in 1884 | Forge workers from Shropshire |
| Onions | Sarah Burns married Thomas Onions in 1890 |
